Register your Idaho LLC
We file with the Idaho Secretary of State on your behalf — for free
1. Entity name
Our filing service is 100% free. We don't charge any fees to prepare and submit your LLC. The only costs are the state's filing fees below and any optional services you choose.
These fees are charged by the Idaho Secretary of State — we have no control over them and add no markup. Expedite fees are non-refundable.
Most businesses choose a standard LLC. A Professional LLC is only required for licensed professionals (law, medicine, accounting, architecture).
If you already reserved a name with the Idaho SOS, select Yes.
Must include "LLC", "L.L.C.", or "Limited Liability Company" and be unique on Idaho's records.
Type it again exactly to prevent typos.
2. Principal office address
The physical street address of your business. This becomes public record on the Idaho SOS website. PO Boxes are not allowed.
Privacy note: Your principal office address is visible to anyone who searches for your business. If you operate from home, your home address will be publicly listed. We can list our address instead.
Where should the Secretary of State mail correspondence? This can be a PO Box.
3. Registered agent
What is a registered agent? Idaho law requires every LLC to have a registered agent — a person or company with a physical Idaho address available during business hours to receive legal documents, tax notices, and state correspondence on your behalf. Your registered agent's name and address become public record on the Idaho Secretary of State website. If you designate yourself, your personal name and home address will be publicly visible. Using a registered agent service keeps your personal information off public records.
You're all set. East Idaho Community Development will serve as your registered agent at 659 N 4116 E #3, Rigby, ID 83442. All legal and state documents will be forwarded to your email within 24 hours of receipt.
4. Governors
What is a governor? A governor manages the LLC. For most small LLCs this is just you. You need at least one. Names and addresses become public record.
5. Review your filing
Review everything carefully. This is exactly what will be filed with the Idaho Secretary of State.
Note: The Idaho SOS charges a convenience fee of $1.00 plus a 3% credit card transaction fee. This is a state fee, not charged by us.
6. Authorize, sign, and pay
What happens next? After you authorize and pay, East Idaho Community Development will file your Certificate of Organization with the Idaho Secretary of State within 24 hours — or sooner based on your chosen filing speed. You'll receive email confirmation when filed and again when approved.
Authorization & declarations
All three are required. By checking these boxes, you are authorizing East Idaho Community Development to file on your behalf.
